South Korean Defense Minister Meets with Japanese Counterpart at ASEAN Summit

ROK, Japan Defense Chiefs Hold Bilateral Meeting on Sidelines of ASEAN Gathering

South Korean Defense Minister Ahn Gyu-baek attended the 12th ASEAN Defence Ministers' Meeting-Plus (ADMM-Plus) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on November 1st. During the event, he held talks with Japanese Defense Minister Koizumi Shinjiro.

US Defense Secretary's Asia Trip

US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth announced an Asian tour on the 26th (local time). Following a visit to the Indo-Pacific Command in Hawaii earlier this week, he is scheduled to visit four countries: Japan, Vietnam, Malaysia, and South Korea.

The Ministry of National Defense announced that Hegseth will hold the 57th Security Consultative Meeting (SCM) with South Korean Defense Minister Ahn Gyu-baek at the Ministry of National Defense in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, on the 4th.
