Gwangju Buk-gu Announces Personnel Changes, Including Promotion of Park Tae-sung, Head of Livelihood Economy Division, to Grade 4

Gwangju Buk-gu announced personnel changes effective October 28, 2025. Park Tae-sung, head of the Livelihood Economy Division, has been promoted to Grade 4, and Kim Hyun-ok, an official in the Administrative Support Division, has been promoted to Grade 5. This reshuffle aims to enhance organizational efficiency and strengthen expertise in various fields. Gwangju Buk-gu stated that it will strive to provide better administrative services to residents through this reshuffle. In particular, more active engagement is expected from the Livelihood Economy and Administrative Support Divisions, as they are closely related to the lives of residents.

Park Tae-sung, the newly promoted head of the Livelihood Economy Division, is recognized for his outstanding work ethic and leadership in contributing to the economic development of Gwangju Buk-gu. He has focused on supporting small business owners and promoting local economic revitalization policies, and his promotion is expected to allow him to implement even broader policies. Kim Hyun-ok, the newly promoted official in the Administrative Support Division, is known for her excellent execution skills and meticulous work, and is credited with contributing to improved communication and cooperation within the organization. She is expected to perform key tasks in the Administrative Support Division and contribute to the development of the district.

This personnel reshuffle is part of Gwangju Buk-gu's efforts to reform and strengthen its organization. The district plans to continue its personnel innovation to provide more trustworthy administrative services to residents. Gwangju Buk-gu aims to promote organizational stability and development through this reshuffle, and to further dedicate itself to improving the quality of life for its residents. The Ministry of Justice attended the opening ceremony of the 54th Correctional Works Exhibition at the Icheon Art Hall in Icheon, Gyeonggi Province, to encourage inmates' commitment to rehabilitation. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism visited the Sports Ethics Center to hold an on-site meeting to discuss ways to strengthen ethics in the sports world. The Ministry of the Interior and Safety presided over a recovery situation review meeting in Daejeon to check the progress of disaster recovery, and participated in the Social Economy Expo in Jeonju to explore ways to promote the social economy. The Ministry of Gender Equality and Family visited the National Youth Training Center to discuss ways to support the healthy growth of young people, and the Ministry of Health and Welfare held a corporate meeting in Seoul to discuss ways to innovate welfare services using AI technology.

The Ministry of Employment and Labor held the 30th anniversary academic conference of the Korea University Graduate School of Labor Studies in Seoul to promote academic development in the field of labor, and conducted on-site inspections of the Safe Workplace Project in South Chungcheong Province to strengthen safety in industrial sites. The Ministry of Environment held the 2023 Jeju Carbon Neutral Island Promotion Council meeting in Jeju to strengthen cooperation for achieving carbon neutrality. The Ministry of Education held the reopening ceremony of the Dokdo Experience Hall of the Northeast Asian History Foundation at Times Square in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul, to promote accurate historical awareness of Dokdo. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Craft & Design Culture Promotion Agency are holding the 'Public Design Festival 2025' in 206 locations nationwide, including Gwangju, to promote the importance of public design and contribute to improving the quality of life for the public.

In the National Assembly, the Legislation and Judiciary Committee conducted a parliamentary inspection of the Ministry of Government Legislation and the Corruption Investigation Office for High-Ranking Officials to review the performance of each organization. The Legislation and Judiciary Committee also conducted an on-site inspection of the Busan International Finance Center and other locations to conduct a parliamentary audit to understand the current state of financial policies.
