People Power Party (PPP) Floor Leader Song Eon-seok strongly criticized the Democratic Party of Korea (DPK) regarding the controversial 'December 29th Jeju Air Passenger Plane Incident' investigation during a general assembly held at the National Assembly on October 26, 2025. He pointed out the DPK's double standard in its approach to uncovering the truth. During his opening remarks at the general assembly, Song highlighted the contrast between the DPK's swift audit and subsequent measures taken in the aftermath of the 'October 29th Itaewon Tragedy' and the current sluggish progress in even bringing the Muan Airport plane incident's investigation report to a vote in the National Assembly. He questioned the DPK's commitment to finding the truth, given this contrasting behavior. In particular, Song amplified doubts about the DPK's sincerity by comparing the rapid actions taken regarding the Itaewon Tragedy, which the DPK spearheaded, with their current passive stance on the Muan Airport plane incident. The PPP, through Song Eon-seok's remarks, emphasizes the need for a swift investigation into the Muan Airport plane incident and urges the DPK to cooperate. The PPP also stated that it will make every effort to uncover the truth behind the Muan Airport plane incident.

Song emphasized that his and Representative Jang Dong-hyeok's real estate holdings were acquired within legal boundaries and that there were no illegal activities. He also claimed that the suspicions raised by the DPK are unfounded speculations and are intended to defame him and Representative Jang Dong-hyeok. The PPP expressed strong regret over the DPK's behavior and urged it to focus on policy discussions and stop attacking individuals.
