Hana Securities: "Expect Nvidia Collaboration…SK Hynix, Samsung Electronics, Hyundai in Focus"

Hana Securities has released an analysis suggesting investors should pay attention to Nvidia-related stocks in the Korean stock market. On October 29, 2025, the Global Investment Analysis Department of Hana Securities Research Center presented 'Nvidia' as today's theme in its Hana Guru Eye report, expressing optimism about collaborations with Korean companies. The report particularly anticipates cooperation between Nvidia and major Korean companies in connection with the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) meeting, urging investors to take note. Hana Securities mentioned SK Hynix, Doosan, Simmtech, SK, Hyundai Motor, Samsung Electronics, SK Eternix, SK Square, Hanmi Semiconductor, and Lino Industrial as Nvidia-related stocks, anticipating that these companies could secure growth momentum through collaborations with Nvidia. With the rapid growth of the artificial intelligence (AI) industry, Nvidia's role has become increasingly important, and the analysis suggests that Korean companies can strengthen their competitiveness in the AI field through cooperation with Nvidia.

Notably, Hana Securities' report has garnered attention as Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang is expected to visit Gyeongju during the APEC period and meet with the heads of major Korean groups, including Lee Jae-yong of Samsung Electronics, Chey Tae-won of SK Group, and Chung Euisun of Hyundai Motor Group. Concrete cooperation plans between Nvidia and Korean companies are likely to be discussed during these meetings, which are expected to positively impact the stock prices of related companies. In its report, Hana Securities projected that Korean companies can strengthen their AI technology competitiveness and expand their presence in the global market through cooperation with Nvidia. Furthermore, the analysis suggests that the combination of Nvidia's AI technology and Korean companies' manufacturing competitiveness can create synergy effects and secure new growth engines. Investors should monitor the trends in cooperation between Nvidia and Korean companies to establish investment strategies.

Moreover, Hana Securities analyzed that expectations are growing for AI collaboration agreements between Nvidia and Samsung, Hyundai, and SK Group in Korea. Nvidia has already established itself as a leader in the AI semiconductor field in the global market, and Korean companies are expected to further enhance their AI technology through cooperation with Nvidia. Samsung Electronics can strengthen its cooperation in the foundry business, which produces Nvidia's AI semiconductors, while Hyundai Motor is expected to accelerate the development of autonomous driving technology using Nvidia's AI technology. SK Group is expected to strengthen the construction of AI data centers and the development of AI services through cooperation with Nvidia. As such, cooperation between Nvidia and Korean companies is expected to create synergy effects in each company's core business areas, providing new growth opportunities.

Meanwhile, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang is scheduled to deliver a keynote speech at the APEC CEO Summit on October 31st. In this keynote speech, Jensen Huang is expected to discuss the development direction and future prospects of AI technology, and in particular, to emphasize how Nvidia's AI technology can contribute to the economic development of the Asia-Pacific region. His keynote speech is expected to provide important implications for Korean companies regarding the direction of AI technology development and investment. Depending on the content of Jensen Huang's keynote speech, the stock prices of Nvidia-related stocks in the Korean stock market may fluctuate, and investors should pay attention to his remarks and adjust their investment strategies. At a time when the importance of AI technology is being further emphasized, Jensen Huang's keynote speech is expected to provide new opportunities for Korean companies.

Song Jae-kyung, CEO of Investment Division at Dimension Investment Management, mentioned that KOSPI has overwhelmingly topped the list of returns this year, rising 67% since the beginning of the year. This suggests that the Korean stock market is showing higher growth than the global market and is acting as a factor stimulating investors' investment sentiment. In particular, the rise of AI-related stocks, including Nvidia-related stocks, is driving the rise of KOSPI, which can be interpreted as a positive signal that increases the growth potential of the Korean stock market. However, stock market experts point out that the possibility of adjustments due to the rapid rise of KOSPI should be kept in mind, and advise caution in investing. Investors should make investment decisions by closely analyzing individual stocks and carefully examining market conditions.

Meanwhile, on October 29, 2025, Greenpeace released a report assessing the progress of decarbonization of 10 global companies leading the AI industry, including Nvidia, AMD, Apple, Google, and Microsoft. According to the report, more than 80% of the total greenhouse gas emissions of AI chip design companies such as AMD, Nvidia, Qualcomm, and Broadcom in 2024 occur in the supply chain. Greenpeace stated that although major suppliers of the AI industry, such as Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix, are located in Korea, equivalent supply chain renewable energy transition funds or direct infrastructure investments for Korea have not been confirmed based on publicly available information. This suggests that decarbonization efforts across the entire supply chain are necessary for the sustainable growth of the AI industry, and in particular, the active participation of Korean companies is important. Global AI companies, including Nvidia, should establish and implement concrete plans for supply chain decarbonization. In addition, the South Korean government and companies should support the eco-friendly growth of the AI industry by expanding renewable energy investments and building related infrastructure.
