KOFIA Launches Training Course for Private Equity Fund Management Professionals
The Korea Financial Investment Institute (KOFIA) announced the opening of its 'Private Collective Investment Scheme (General/Institutional Only) Management Professional' training course, designed to cultivate specialized personnel in private equity fund management in response to the rapidly changing financial market. Applications are open until November 19, 2025. This course focuses on nurturing professionals to ensure the healthy growth of the private equity fund market and protect investors. It is designed to enhance participants' actual management capabilities through practical, hands-on training.
This training course will intensively cover the core knowledge and practical skills necessary for private equity fund management. In particular, it plans to enhance participants' understanding through analyzing and discussing practical management examples, including recent trends and investment strategies in the private equity fund market, as well as risk management techniques. Furthermore, the course will strengthen education on financial investment-related laws and tax system changes, supporting participants in proactively responding to the evolving regulatory environment. The curriculum will combine theoretical education with practical training based on real-world management cases, enabling participants to apply theoretical knowledge to actual management. Through this, participants are expected to gain an in-depth understanding of the private equity fund market and enhance their practical management skills. KOFIA anticipates that the professionals produced through this training course will contribute to the sound development of the private equity fund market and restore investor confidence.
The course will begin on December 15, 2025. Eligibility requirements for private collective investment asset management personnel include at least three years of work experience at a financial institution (as an employee or executive) and completion of the relevant training course (a total of 40 hours of in-person and e-learning education). This underscores the fundamental qualities and practical experience required of private equity fund management professionals. KOFIA expects that this training course will enable experts with extensive experience in the financial field to further enhance their expertise in the private equity fund market and contribute to identifying new investment opportunities. In addition, participants are expected to improve their understanding of changes in the financial market and enhance their ability to formulate investment strategies. KOFIA plans to continuously improve the training course by reflecting trends in the financial market and will strive to cultivate financial investment professionals.
The training will be held from December 15 to December 19, 2025, for a total of three days (12 hours) at the KOFIA Financial Investment Education Center in Yeouido. Classes will be held in the evenings on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays to accommodate financial professionals currently employed in the industry, allowing them to participate in the training without disrupting their work. This training course is expected to be a valuable opportunity not only to acquire specialized knowledge in private equity fund management but also to build a network with industry experts. KOFIA plans to provide various networking programs to enable training participants to share their experiences and knowledge and form collaborative relationships. Furthermore, it will support ongoing information exchange and cooperation even after the completion of the training course, helping participants proactively respond to changes in the financial market. KOFIA will continue to develop various training programs and actively invest in cultivating specialized personnel for the development of the financial investment industry.
